Agape Malta was established in March 2011, when Leslie and Charmaine Caruana met with the Director of Agape Europe, Javier Garcia in Barcelona and were appointed as the National Representation of Agape Malta. The beginning of this journey started two years earlier when they were invited to attend the Agape Europe Leaders Forum of May 2009 in Barcelona. The theme of this staff conference was Full of His riches, taken from Ephesians 3:16 and the key speaker was Steve Douglass who spoke of Vision 2020 and focused on Building Spiritual Movements in Key European Cities. Malta is one of the smallest nations in Europe, yet important enough to be mentioned in the bible. Since then they participated in the Agape Europe Leadership assemblies, establishing a network with other National Leaders from different countries.

Important Milestones
Belong Family Ministry 10th Anniversary
In June 2014, we had the 10th Anniversary of the Belong Family Ministry. The Archbishop of Malta Celebrated Eucharist and our special guest was Emmanuel Toufexis, the National Director of Agape Greece.
Agape Malta 8th Anniversary
On Friday, 14th June 2019, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Belong Family Ministry and the 8th anniversary of Agape Malta with a program for all the family entitled, “Journey with a Purpose”. The event was held at the Archbishop’s Seminary and included a thanksgiving Mass, followed by a reception. The special guests were Paul and Lesley Cheeseman, the National Director of Agape UK.
